Rockin' Green Detergent Review & Giveaway

If you've read my previous diaper posts, you know about me & laundry. I do 10-15 loads of laundry in one week (I'm more saddened than proud of that fact). The problem since I started cloth diapering has been finding detergent that rinses completely out of my diaper laundry. It is very important to get all detergent out of the cloth diapers before drying & using them on your baby's bottom. Left behind detergent can cause rashes, stinky disgusting ammonia smells, and leaks due to lessened absorbency.

When the Classic Rock didn't work, I tried the Soft Rock

I originally tried Classic Rock, but it didn't rinse out completely, so I requested samples of Soft Rock. That didn't rinse out either!! Ugh. I was pretty dismayed because I had heard such great things about Rockin' Green. After many conversations with a Rockin' Green Guru, we decided I must be using the incorrect formula. Because Soft and Classic Rock didn't work for me, we assumed I must have Hard Water. To be sure, though, the Rockin' Green Guru sent me a water hardness test. The second I ran it under our water, it turned a shade of brown. The color chart told me our water is, in fact, HARD!

Now that we have the right type worked out, Rockin' Green is perfect for our cloth diaper laundry! I didn't have to do the million rinses I was used to. The diapers are soft, clean, and smelling fresh. They don't feel sticky with residue, as they had before. My electricity bill will be so much better, and my diaper laundry won't take a whole DAY just to rinse. Thank you Rockin' Green!!

What will I do with the rest of my Rockin' Green that wasn't the right type for our water? Used it around the house, of course! It can even be used in the dishwasher! Rockin' Green can also be diluted in some water and used as a regular cleaner! I also saved some, because I want to be prepared for any water type we may have when we move or travel.

• Ingredients: sodium carbonate, sodium percarbonate, natural chelating agents, sodium sulfate, biodegradable surfactants, natural fragrance oils (if scented is chosen)
• If you have some seriously funky smelling diapers, try their Funk Rock. Soak your diapers in that, launder as usual, and the dipes should be back to normal--if not better!
