I don't know about you, but I get pretty grouchy when I'm hungry; so I keep a cabinet full of snacks (mostly healthy) for those times when a full meal would take too long to cook, or isn't necessary to satisfy my hunger. G is allowed to 'play' in the snack cabinet because she can't hurt (or get hurt) by anything in there. She loves pulling everything out and putting it back in. She also knows that when I say, "snack time!" she gets to pull something out.
I stock up on various types of bars, crackers, cereals, and nut packs. Quaker, the company beloved by many families--including ours--for their variety of breakfast and oat products, has recently released a new bar made from real fruit and nuts. Quaker Soft Baked Bars come in two flavors; Cinnamon Pecan Bread and Banana Nut Bread. Each 140 calorie bar is an excellent source of B-vitamins & offers 5 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. It's certainly a wholesome food that can start your day as a breakfast snack or fill the gap between meals. It can even be eaten warmed in the microwave!
I've shared some Quaker granola bars with my daughter, G, and am excited to let her try the Banana Nut Bread flavor of the new Soft Baked Bars that I know we both will love. We both enjoy banana nut bread, so I imagine it'd be our favorite flavor. My husband might enjoy the Cinnamon Pecan Bread flavor as a snack in his lunch box because pecans are one of his favorite nuts. (edit to add) I actually recently bought as some for my husband and he REALLY likes them. He says they are really tasty and different from other bars. He has had them for breakfast several days.
You can enjoy Quaker's NEW Soft Baked Bars at home or on-the-go, anytime of day--and feel good about the nutrients they provide while giving you energy!
