Until recently, G wasn't interested in mud or dirt. She seemed pretty content to play in the grass and pick up leaves or smell flowers. All of a sudden, dirt is her new favorite exploration site. There's not much I can do to stop it, aside from keeping her indoors...so I just let her go......
If you have a blog post with photos, please link it up below!
She's adorable! My daughter, whose now 9, has always to this day loved playing in the dirt. In the summer she runs outside shoeless and her feet turn black. We have lots of scrubbing to do at night :)

What is it about dirt that fascinates them so much? I try to keep my little guy in the grass, but he wants to find the places he can get dirtiest in!

It's amazing, you take any kid anywhere in the world, and they follow the same developmental patterns to a T. Excellent photos!
ReplyDeleteI love that kids find joy in the simplest things :)
ReplyDeleteThis was my daughter until recently. Now, she's a little prissy about getting her hands dirty, LOL (17 months). She loves to be outside, though.
