Breastfeeding Series part I, The first 72 hours

Before reading this, I want you to know that I am very much pro-breastfeeding. So, if this post comes off negative, I'm sorry! I'm just being honest about how hard the first 72 hours of breastfeeding were for me.

In the months leading up to Little Bear's birth, breastfeeding was never something I worried about. A lot of people told me to "be prepared for it not to work out," or to buy some 'back up formula.' I smiled through their doubt and told them I understood but I thought it would be okay. No one told me why I should be concerned with breastfeeding being hard, they all just told me it was.

I'm using our old blog address stats, as the new domain was just started a few days ago and the old domain is still current on all stats below (due to the fact that I'm still hosted on blogger and the two are tied together).

My daughter is already starting tantrums!! She's only 8 months old, but we have to get a handle on this stat! What's funny is that she doesn't throw a "tantrum" for just anything, it's only used when she wants her Happy Baby Organic Puffs.

Menu Plan Monday

So last week we ended up getting to go out with some friends, and leftovers stretched longer than anticipated. I only made 2 real meals last week! Thus, this week will get many of last week's meals. This is good, because the budget took a real hit last month with some unplanned expenses.

Go Cardinals!!

We are from Missouri, but didn't get to watch much Cardinal baseball this year because we live in an AL area now... Thankfully we get Fox on our limited number of channels and were able to watch the World Series! We stayed up late the other night watching the crazy game six, and I knew that they would win the whole thing after that game.
