Thank you FuzziBunz warranty

In case you missed this photo on my facebook yesterday:
I turned it inside out so that you can see the tears better
That's what I found when I was stuffing my small watermelon Perfect Size FuzziBunz Friday morning after doing laundry Thursday afternoon (yeah, my diapers often sit unstuffed for a while...sorry about it).

At first I didn't know how to describe it, so I said there were tears in the PUL. A kind momma on my facebook told me that it's de-lamination.

How horrible does that sound!? De.lam.in.ation. Ugh!! I don't even know HOW that happens. Maybe it was a bad batch of fabric/PUL, or the end of the bolt?

one month old in her fuzzibunz small perfect size diaper
I know that I've used the diaper a lot, it's one of my favorite for using when going out of the house. I'd say I've used it every wash cycle since G was a month old. She's almost 10 months old. So, if I do 3 loads of diaper laundry a week, for, let's say, 39 weeks...that's 117 uses. (Wow! Have you ever calculated that out?) I guess that's pretty good use from a diaper that cost me $15. I was, however, really hoping to use it for our next baby too!

Thankfully, FuzziBunz offers a one year warranty, and they are going to honor that. I should be receiving a brand new small Perfect Size FuzziBunz in the next 2 weeks. If you ever need to submit a problem with your FuzziBunz, fill out this form.

While I am singing FuzziBunz' praise, can I just say how amazing it is that this diaper has fit G from 1 month to 10 months old!!? She is a bit skinny for her age (hovering around 18 lbs), so not all babies will be in the small for that long, but we are certainly pleased with the sizing of the perfect size Fuzzibunz. She also fits into the one medium perfect size Fuzzibunz we have. I really want to try out the new Elite diapers, which are one-size (fits birth through potty training)!

So, has this ever happened to any of your diapers?? What did you do with the old (pretty much unusable diaper)?

  1. Thankfully no, but it's good to keep in the back of my mind in case it does happen.

  2. I've heard about it, but we've only been cloth diapering for about 3 months so this has not happened. Hopefully it won't at all. I must say that I'm not as pleased with out Fuzzibunz One Size and Elites as much as the Perfect Size in Small. The Perfect Size seem better quality. The inserts in the one size bunch up too much.

How do you dry the shell? I've been line drying so maybe that will keep the shell in good condition for a while.

  4. I had this happen with Rumparooz once and they were very good and replaced it. So good to know that Fuzzibunz also has great customer service!
